Climate change has a big impact on buildings and their occupants and every building can be adapted to be more efficient using retrofit strategies, even historic buildings. Historic buildings do however need a more bespoke approach as there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution to the unique challenges they propose.

We would strongly reccommend talking to a suitable professional, some links to professional bodies can be found here, but in the first instance, Historic England produce a wealth of guidance for the improvement and retrofit of historic buildings when considering their energy efficiency.
